GINGKO BILOBA

Gingko biloba or the Gingko Tree is a native of China. It is the only surviving member of a prehistoric division, from over 270 million years ago. This plant is widely cultivated throughout Asia and Europe because of its medicinal properties.

In China and Japan, Gingko biloba eaten as a delicacy during special occasions. Its main use is as medicinal herbs to treat different illnesses. Taken as a tonic. Lowers sludge level in blood. Expels phlegm and stops wheezing cough. Eliminates damp heat, dampness and stops vaginal discharge in yeast infection. For incontinence, spermatorrhea (involuntary discharge of semen without orgasm), and frequent urination.

Gingko biloba contains flavonol, phenols, organic acids, saponins, cyanophoric glucoside, gibberellin, cytokinin like substances. Protein, fat, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene,  riboflavine, various amino acids.
